[Regnum] The Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two bases of militants hiding in mountainous areas in Syria. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties, Major General Yuri Popov.
“Strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed two bases of militants who had left the al-Tanf zone and were hiding in hard-to-reach areas of the El-Amur mountain ranges of Homs province and El-Bishri of Deir ez-Zor province,” he said during a briefing on Wednesday, 3 April.
Popov noted that over the past 24 hours in the Idlib de-escalation zone, two attacks on the positions of Syrian government troops by terrorist groups were recorded, and one more attack each in the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia.
As reported by IA Regnum, at the end of March the Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties reported that the sabotage activity of militants in Syria had increased. According to the deputy head of the TsPVS Yuri Popov, on March 29, the Syrian armed forces repelled attacks by armed formations in the areas of Urum Es-Sughra and Kafer Nebel, destroying at least ten militants. The TsPVS called on the leadership of illegal armed groups to stop provocations.
