Second U.S. Aircraft Carrier Arrives in Eastern Mediterranean to Deter Iran, also US nuclear sub | ||

[Breitbart] U.S. Central Command said the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group arrived in the Middle East early Sunday making it part of the CENTCOM area of responsibility. The U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower and its accompanying elements will join the U.S.S. Ford in the eastern Mediterranean to deter Iran from opening a second front against Israel from Lebanon using the Hezbollah terror group and its rocket arsenal, as Breitbart News reported. The aircraft carrier strike group had moved through the Strait of Gibraltar earlier this week, putting two American carriers in the Mediterranean Sea, a rare sight in recent years, AP reports. The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is already in the eastern Mediterranean, part of a buildup of forces as the U.S. supports Israel in its war against Hamas terrorists and their backers. One week ago CNN reported the amphibious assault ship U.S.S. Bataan is also being moved closer to Israel. The moves come some 14-days after Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin placed additional U.S. troops on prepare-to-deploy orders to the Middle East after speaking with President Joe Biden. “I have placed an additional number of forces on prepare to deploy orders as part of prudent contingency planning, to increase their readiness and ability to quickly respond as required,” he said in a statement as reported by Breitbart News. US military dispatches nuclear submarine to region [IsraelTimes] The US Central Command says an Ohio-class submarine has arrived in its area of responsibility, which includes the eastern Mediterranean, Red Sea, Persian Gulf, and Gulf of Oman. Ohio-class subs are both nuclear-powered and carry nuclear warheads. The army does not say where the submarine has been deployed to, but its arrival in the region is may be part of the same strategy that has seen the US dispatch two carrier strike groups in order to deter Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneouslytaking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militiasto extend the regime's influence. The word Iranis a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGCis the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA).The term Supreme Guideis a the modern version form of either Duceor Führeror maybe both. They hate and its proxies from attacking Israel.

#8 A big stick is sometimes useful just by its presence. There are actors outside Gaza (iran, hezbollah, russia) who need some encouragement to think and act in a sober fashion. |

#7 The thing about having the CVA assets in the Med, along with an Ohio missile boat, is they're all useless in events about Gaza. The carriers aren't able to do much about ground operations, and while the sub is loaded to the gills with cruise missiles, they're no utility on the beach, unless you're going to shoot at it. Except, Syria and Lebanon. If you were thinking about Iran, the sub would have been better positioned in the Arabian Gulf, where it was to begin with. |

#5 so, after 77 days the sub runs out of food. It will be replaced by another or already has been. |

#4 Good strategery! Posting a picture of a sub will deter Iran from posting pictures of their fake missiles. |

#2 ...The picture of the Ohio class boat is interesting in that it's not a Trident class - it's an SSGN, whose tubes are loaded with Tomahawk cruise missiles. 154 of 'em, to be precise. She's quite capable of ruining a country's day all on her own, and to quote one of the best lines from The Hunt For Red October... "...Nobody would know a thing about it until it was all over."
