[Korrespondent] Defense forces are having success in the Kleschiyivka area of ​​the Donetsk region. In addition, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 Russian attacks near this settlement. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, published on its Facebook page on Saturday, September 16.
Over the course of 24 hours, the enemy launched eight missile strikes and more than 50 air strikes, and carried out 22 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
Seversky and Slobozhansky directions
The enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas and continues shelling populated areas from Russian territory. Conducted air strikes near Stepka, Sumy region and Malaya Volcha, Pletenovka, Kharkov region. More than 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, among them Galaganovka, Chernihiv region; Rudak, Seredina-Buda, Bachevsk, Sadki, Ryasnoye, Sumy region and Streleche, Gatishche, Volchansk, Khar'kov region.
Kupyansk direction
The enemy launched air strikes near Sin'kovka and Kopanka, Kharkov region. He fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Figolka, Liman Pervy, Petropavlovka, Zapadnoye, Kondrashovka in the Kharkov region.
Liman direction
The enemy did not conduct offensive actions. The areas of settlements Novoegorovka, Nevskoe in the Luhansk region and Serebryanka, Spornoe in the Donetsk region were subjected to air strikes. More than 10 settlements were damaged by artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevskoye, Belogorovka in the Lugansk region and Dronovka, Seversk, Verkhnekamenskoye in the Donetsk region.
Bakhmut direction
The defense forces successfully repelled more than 10 enemy attacks in the Kleshchievka area of ​​the Donetsk region. The enemy tried to restore the lost position in the Kurdyumovka and Andreevka areas of the Donetsk region. Conducted an air strike near Kleshchievka, Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Orekhovo-Vasil'evka, Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Kleshchievka, Kurdyumovka in the Donetsk region.
Avdeevskoe direction
The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Northern Donetsk region. Avdeevka and Severnoye, Donetsk region, were subjected to air strikes. About 10 settlements were damaged by artillery and mortar shelling, including Alexandropol, Keramik, Stepnoe, Avdievka, Nevelskoye, Pervomaiskoye in the Donetsk region.
Maryinsky direction
Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled more than 10 enemy attacks in the Mar'inka area. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements were under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers, including Krasnogorivka, Mar'yinka, Pobeda, Konstantinovka, and Elizavetovka in the Donetsk region.
Miner's direction
Staromayorskoe, Donetsk region, was subjected to enemy air strikes. About 10 settlements were damaged by artillery and mortar shelling, including Ugledar, Bogoyavlenka, Novoukrainka, Prechistovka, Zolota Niva, Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk region.
Zaporozhye direction
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Svetlaya Dolina, Malaya Tokmachka, Orekhov and Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region. More than 20 settlements were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling, in particular Charivnoye, Malaya Tokmachka, Orekhov, Pavlovka, Kamenskoye, Stepnogorsk in the Zaporozhye region.
Kherson direction
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of the settlements of Berislav and Lvovo, Kherson region. About 10 settlements were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Antonovka and Kherson.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Bakhmut directions. Based on the results of offensive operations, Ukrainian soldiers are successful in the Klishchievka area of ​​the Donetsk region.
Events
In some settlements of the Berdyansk district of the Kherson region, Russian occupation troops are quartered in the private houses of local residents, and the practice of forced relocation of residents into one dwelling is spreading.
Russian losses
During the day, Defense Forces aircraft carried out two strikes on control points, 12 on areas where weapons and military equipment were concentrated, and five on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. The missile force units destroyed three Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems and five enemy artillery weapons.
As already written, the Ukrainian military had partial success in the Verbovoy and Novoprokopovka areas of the Zaporozhye region, as well as in the Bakhmut area of ​​the Donetsk region.
