| [Twitter] "A Russian combat helicopter Mi-8 together with the entire crew arrived in Ukraine and surrendered to the Armed Forces," Yuriy Butusov reports. Russian air force related channels said the helicopter got lost due to navigational errors.. This looks to be the first deliberate surrender of such equipment by the Russian Federation. More here. Pilot defects. Other crewmen not so lucky. Also Crimean S-400 SAM system destroyed. |

| #2 Not the first "Russian" to defect via aircraft. I saw a report that the GPS failed and they landed at a base they thought was friendly. But if a Ukrainian was flying it, the comment by badanov makes a hell of a lot of sense. |
