Since June 20, several mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, involved in the offensive both in Zaporozhye and in the Yuzhno-Donetsk direction, have encountered failures in satellite communications and GPS navigation systems.

According to Military Chronicle, the greatest problems and failures in positioning systems were recorded in units of the 32nd mechanized brigade, the 35th and 37th brigades of the naval infantry and the 110th Brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, problems with satellite communications and positioning systems in these formations led to several incidents, during which equipment and personnel moved not to the place of the alleged attack on the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, but went out into minefields or fell into an ambush.

According to available information, the use of civilian devices with pre-installed (built-in) positioning services led to problems with the navigation systems of the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Presumably, civilian (in some cases, tourist) GPS navigators were supposed to be used by Ukrainian troops only as backup equipment, however, due to the lack of the necessary equipment on most wheeled vehicles, such devices were used as the main equipment.

At the same time, the problem with navigation systems was observed in the most mobile units equipped with American armored vehicles Oshkosh M-ATV and MaxxPro, British Mastiff and Canadian Roshel Senator.

Due to failures of satellite equipment, in several cases, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used civilian phones and tablets with offline map applications installed instead of satellite navigation, which stopped working in the combat zone.

By June 23, cases of failures in the operation of GPS navigation in units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine larger than a battalion were recorded at least three times.

Problems with satellite navigation were also aggravated by the lack of experienced personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: the unit commanders who arrived in the Zaporozhye region and in the South-Donetsk direction a few days before the start of the offensive did not have time to study the area and draw up a map of minefields.

This, as well as the inability to competently use tactical maps, the inconsistency of actions between units, in addition to trips to minefields, several times led to the exit of combat groups not to their original positions, but to firing lines - to advanced watch points a few kilometers from the "Surovikin line," where heavy fire opened on columns with equipment.

In the Lisichansk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces disrupted the rotation of personnel at the forefront of the 241 Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also in this direction, the aviation of the grouping inflicted a defeat on the places of accumulation of manpower and military equipment of the enemy.

In the course of counterbattery combat, artillery units of the group destroyed a Polish-made self-propelled artillery mount "Krab" in the Ivanovka region, an American AN/TPQ counter-battery radar station in the Menkovka region, a 152mm towed howitzer 2A65 "Msta" in the area of the settlement of Ostroye and two mortars on positions in the area of Marinka and Krasnogorovka.

The artillery of the grouping destroyed the ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Shcherbinovka area, the point of temporary deployment of the unit of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdievka.

The units of the Russian airborne troops continue to clear the Ukrainian positions in the Serebryansky forestry. Fights are going on for every meter, as Ukrainian artillerymen and mortarmen are conducting massive fire on the fighters of the RF Armed Forces.

To the south, the assault on the Belogorovsky fortified area continues. Today, Russian servicemen have completely cleared the territory of the Popasnyansky district water utility, improving the tactical situation.

However, the paratroopers of the 81st Airmobile Brigade of the Airborne Forces of Ukraine, with the support of detachments of mercenaries, are digging in near the Cretaceous Quarry. Opposite the industrial zone, where the RF Armed Forces have entrenched themselves, Ukrainian formations are preparing firing positions on a hill.

The assault on this stronghold is complicated by its location at a height, and without control over it, advancement in Belogorovka is impractical due to possible unjustified losses.

Theoretically, with success in forest plantations to the north and the advance of Russian troops to the Seversky Donets River, the RF Armed Forces will be able to cut off the supply of the Ukrainian group in Belogorivka through Grigorovka, which will complicate the defense of the settlement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the area of the Torsky ledge, during the positional offensive, the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have suffered heavy losses over the past few days. According to the interception of negotiations between members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of those killed exceeded 200 people and 15 strongholds came under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the forces of the 1st battalion of the 42nd Mechanized Brigade were deployed to the south in the area of Raygorodok and Yampol to reinforce forward positions, which may be due to the success of the RF Armed Forces in the sector.

- Zaporozhye direction. The enemy had no significant results in the area of Pyatikhatki, Rabotino, Makarovka and Harvest. Quite intense fighting continues in a number of areas. The enemy does not use large groups of armored vehicles. In the West, June 21-23 became the day of accepting the failure of the June offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Zelensky's gang also indirectly acknowledged the failure of the offensive by blaming the West.

- Kupyanskoe direction. It is reported that our troops continue to consolidate in the forest area west of Sinkovka, and also crossed Oskol and created a small bridgehead on the other side. There is no talk yet about going to the outskirts of Kupyansk.

- Swat direction. There is a small advance of our troops to the west of Kremennaya in the forest. The enemy stubbornly resists and tries to counterattack.

- Seversky ledge. Our troops are entrenched in their positions in the Disputed area. Activation of pressure on the village itself is expected. The enemy is preparing attacks in the Razdolovka area.

According to RT, some formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the 42nd and 65th Mechanized brigades, entered the battle with understaffed engineering and repair and recovery equipment. Western deliveries and the reactivation of obsolete equipment from storage bases partially compensated for the losses incurred in the previous year, but it was not possible to completely solve the problem of the shortage of such equipment before the start of the offensive.

The situation was aggravated by the losses that the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered after the intensification of hostilities. Already in the first 36 hours after the start of the active phase of the counteroffensive in the South-Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the mechanized and tank units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost several armored recovery vehicles of both the Soviet and Western types.

Among the vehicles lost during the counteroffensive were BREM-1 and Czechoslovak BREM-Ch, as well as German BREM Bergepanzer and Wisent 1, transferred to the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine a few weeks before the start of the offensive.

A significant part of foreign and Soviet armored vehicles was lost under strange circumstances: the crews of this equipment received orders to evacuate equipment, but due to ignorance of the terrain and problems with satellite navigation, they went to other areas where they ended up either in a minefield or were destroyed by the calculations that arrived at the place ATGM or Ka-52 army aviation helicopters.

On the fifth day of the offensive, the shortage of engineering equipment in the Armed Forces of Ukraine led to the fact that in the areas of active battles, any armored vehicles available in the area began to be used as evacuation equipment, including T-64BV and T-72B tanks from the reserve, as well as Leopard- 2A6.

In several episodes, the tanks of the evacuation groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves went to the minefields, after which the operation to withdraw the damaged equipment was stopped, and the wrecked vehicles were destroyed in order to prevent their capture.

The difficult situation with the means of evacuation led to the need to divert reserve vehicles and crews to evacuate faulty or damaged equipment from the front line. As a result, the loss of heavy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased and the wear and tear of equipment involved in the evacuation has increased, which is already leading to an increase in the number of damage and breakdowns.

The combination of these factors has an extremely negative impact on the offensive capabilities of mechanized formations and provokes a slowdown in the pace of the offensive.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, the crews of the Solntsepyok TOS of the Center group of forces, using thermobaric rounds, destroyed six enemy strongholds. In addition, two 122mm D-30 howitzers, four 120mm mortar crews, and five armored combat vehicles were destroyed as part of the counter-battery fight.

The calculation of the Igla MANPADS shot down the UAV of the Ukrainian troops. The crews of the Su-34 aircraft of the "Center" group carried out a bombing attack on three strongholds and a point of temporary deployment of nationalists in the areas of the settlements of Petrovskoye and Terny.

In the Yampolovsky, Torsky sections and in the area of Serebryansky forestry, intelligence forces and means revealed the movement of platoons on armored combat vehicles of 21, 42 and 63 Mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of a missile strike by assault and army aviation, as well as artillery of the "Center" grouping, the enemy suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment.

In the Orekhovsky sector, fighting of low intensity is still going on. Now Ukrainian formations use only infantry to carry out attacks on the positions of the RF Armed Forces with little or no support from armored vehicles.

The Spetsnaz archangel reports that enemy units are trying to maneuver, avoiding minefields and using the forest belt as cover. Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the cost of more than ten people, were able to occupy an advanced stronghold north of Rabotino. Artillerymen of the RF Armed Forces are firing at them.

At present, the command of the Ukrainian grouping is deploying assault groups to Malaya Tokmachka and Orekhov, simultaneously artillery attack the strongholds of the RF Armed Forces. And mobile phones and identity cards were confiscated from the formations of the 128th brigade.

In the area of the Vremievsky ledge in the forest plantation to the west and south-west of Makarovka, the combined Ukrainian assault detachments of the 128th troop detachment and the 35th detachment were concentrated.

Also yesterday a large convoy arrived from Zaporozhye to Bolshaya Novoselka and Storozhevoe with personnel in armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles of various types.

In addition, several cannon and rocket artillery pieces were moved from Bolshaya Novoselka to Vremevka and Storozhevoe. Such a maneuver is typical before preparing for an assault for fire support of advancing forces at a greater distance from the front.

Also, enemy assault detachments arrived at Levadny. The concentration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area, together with reinforcements in the Orekhovsky sector, indicates an imminent intensification of hostilities.

“Russian forces launched a multi-pronged offensive centered on the axis of the O-130501 road west of Kremennaya. Expanding this attack, the Russian troops secured the expanding salient across the O-131306 highway and advanced towards the Zherebetskoye reservoir,” Chuck Pfarrer said.

The offensive operation of the Russian army in this direction was confirmed yesterday and the day before by the Ukrainian command. At the same time, the National Guard informed the Kyiv media about the retreat of one of the Ukrainian brigades in Serebryansky forest.

In the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is reported that in the Limansk direction, the RF Armed Forces are advancing on Belogorovka in the LPR. Air strikes were carried out in the areas of the settlement. Nevsky and Ivanovka, Torskoye, Belogorovka, Dubrava and Disputed. Also under fire are the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the settlement. Serebryanka, Verkhnekamenskoye, Razdolovka.

In the South-Donetsk direction, the advanced units of the Vostok group of forces, during aerial reconnaissance, uncovered the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Novomikhailovka area. Artillery fire destroyed armored combat vehicles, vehicles and manpower of the nationalists.

A reconnaissance group of militants was opened and destroyed in the area of the Oktyabr state farm. The calculations of TOS "Solntsepyok" hit the places of accumulation of militants south of Ugledar. Army aviation forces destroyed armored combat vehicles and hit accumulations of manpower in the areas of Novodonetsk and south of Velikaya Novoselka.

In the Zaporozhye direction, a reconnaissance group of militants was opened and destroyed in the Dorozhnyanka area. Motorized rifle units inflicted fire damage on units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Pyatikhatka.

Artillery fire destroyed vehicles with ammunition in the Kamenskoye area, an ammunition depot in Malaya Tokmachka, and a 152mm Msta-B howitzer in Zaleznichny. Helicopters of army aviation inflicted fire damage on clusters of militants in the areas of Levadny and Pyatikhatka. Calculations of the air defense system "Tor" shot down the UAV "Fury".

The military personnel of the Vostok group of troops show courage and heroism in the performance of combat missions. The platoon commander of the TOS “Solntsepyok” of the group, Lieutenant Mikhail Yakhomov, performed a combat mission of inflicting fire damage on the advancing enemy forces in the area of the Novodonetskoye settlement. Showing courage and professionalism, under the incessant firepower of the enemy, the calculation under the command of Lieutenant Mikhail Yakhomov destroyed two armored combat vehicles and several dozen nationalists.

Having suffered losses in manpower and equipment, the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine retreated to their original lines. The positions of the Russian troops were held.

Now the enemy is advancing on the front line in small groups in the area of responsibility of 291 SMEs, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is working on the positions of the first echelon.

To increase the survivability of personnel, they wind routes, as operational space allows. Our minefields are searched from the air. Only then attack aircraft come, but they are still undermined.

In the Novodanilovka area, the enemy attacked the positions of the 58th Army. As a result of the TOS hit, he suffered losses and rolled back. One AFV was blown up by mines. A cluster of enemy armored vehicles was opened - Ka-52s were quickly worked out, a tank, two infantry fighting vehicles and several armored combat vehicles were destroyed.

Yesterday, closer to 2200 hrs, Russian reconnaissance UAVs began to work in the sky over the right bank of the Kherson region. Apparently, they corrected the work of artillery.

At the same time, Ukrainian channels reported on explosions in Kherson. Apparently, Russian artillery hit the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city. In addition, a powerful explosion sounded in Kherson. Some military Telegram channels reported about the destruction of the ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Closer to midnight, reports began to appear about the movement of several groups of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the Antonovsky bridge. According to military Telegram channels, Ukrainian soldiers were met by Russian fighters and gave them a fight.

At about 0200 hrs, there were reports that two boats with troops from the Armed Forces of Ukraine were trying to land in the area of ??dachas, north of Alyosheki. However, according to the military Telegram channels, Russian soldiers noticed them in time and destroyed them.

Closer to 0300 hrs in the morning, Russian aircraft hit the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kherson. Ukrainian Telegram channels reported about the arrivals of adjustable bombs around the city.

APU with the onset of darkness went on the third assault. The enemy bombarded our defenses (291st Regiment) with “meat” all night, and by morning he managed to retake our first line positions (for the fourth time in two weeks). Moreover, he beat with everything he could, incl. there were numerous blows with “Himers” on our front line, which, together with the “meat” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thrown at our supporters, predetermined the result.

Since morning, our aviation has been working on this most busy enemy “front line”. Apparently, ours will again recapture it from the enemy today (as in previous times).

In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian troops, with the support of artillery, conducted assault operations near Pyatikhatki, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Rabotin area. Both sides are unsuccessful. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation fired on Ukrainian positions in Stepnogorsk, Kamensky, Lobkove, Stepnoy (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Ugoldar and Donetsk directions), Novoandreevka, Preobrazhenka, Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Gulyaipole, Krasnoye and Temirovka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck at Tokmok and Melitopol.

In the Uglidar sector, Ukrainian troops managed to advance near Rivnopol, but not near Staromayorsky. The attack of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the outskirts of Ugledar did not bring them success. Under shelling, the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Levadny, Novopol, Zeleniy Pole, Burlatsky, Makarovka, Blagodatny, Neskuchny and Novoocheretovaty.

On the Donetsk front, Russian troops conducted assault operations near Novomiykhalovka, and after artillery strikes near Pobeda, in Maryinka, in the area of Pervomaisky, Severny (a settlement west of Avdievka) and on the southwestern approaches to Avdiivka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine counterattacked near Staromikhailivka and managed to occupy a number of new positions. Russian troops attacked Georgievka, Kurakhov, Ostroy, the city of Krasnogorovka, Zoryany, Nevelsky, Netaylov, Thin, Berdychi, Stepnoy (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Zaporozhye and Uhldar directions), Novokalinovoye, Ceramics, Alexandropol, New York, Severny (a settlement northwest of Gorlovka) and Druzhba.

In the Lugansk direction, Russian troops attacked near Belogorovka after artillery strikes, and Ukrainian troops attacked at Shipilovka. Under artillery attack positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Torskoy, Nevsky, Novoegorovka, Stelmakhivka, Berestovoye, Kislovka, Sinkovka, Zapadnaya, Dvurechnaya, Novomlynsk, Figolevka and Krasny Pervoy. Ukrainian troops were attacking Masyutovka.
