New batch of Iraqis to be repatriated from al-Hole camp
2023-06-04
[NPASYRIA] Hundreds of Iraqi refugees are preparing to leave Hawl camp, east of Hasakah, on Sunday for their country, within the framework of coordinated operations between Iraq and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

The batch, which is scheduled to leave on Sunday, includes 168 families, numbering 658 people, according to what an official in the camp revealed to North Press.
That’s a lotta ISIS from Iraq, but Iraq is ready for them.
The trip was supposed to take place on May 16 but was postponed two days before by the Iraqi side without indicating the reason, according to a previous statement by the camp administration.

An official in the camp administration, who spoke not for attribution, said, "after a 20-day halt in the trip, preparations were completed for the release of a new batch of Iraqis tomorrow from the camp to their country."

The refugees together with their belongings were moved to the camp’s reception area in preparation for their departure, following the visit of an Iraqi delegation to the camp.
