Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. Iraqi Joint Forces Command said in a statement, "Two successful airstrikes targeted hideouts and caves of the terrorist ISIS in Diyala Governorate, killing five terrorists." Earlier today, Iraqi forces arrested an ISIS bad boy in Saladin Governorate and three others in the city of Kirkuk northern Iraq. Recently, ISIS has increased its activities, targeting Iraqi security forces despite intensive joint operations in participation with the US-led Global Coalition to defeat the group and its sleeper cells. |
