#19 surely made in Board made in China. US and other components stuffed onto board in China. Doubt Iran has capability to make fine pitch surface mount PCB boards. |

#18 Board and the components on them are surely made in China and exported in violation of sanctions. Looked like a generic development board layout (Xilinx, Altera?) with empty pads (space) for other components. Other components (e.g. motor, actuators) likely smuggled via China and Gulf countries. Wouldn't rule Turkey out, either. |

#17 I thought Russian drones were made from Swedish traffic cameras. |

#16 Could it have been sourced from the equipment the US left behind in Afghanistan? That'd be par for the course for this current administration. |

#14 The ATF was probably running a drone walking operation that worked out every bit as you would expect. |

#13 Seems to me if the components are marked/numbered in some fashion we can get a clear tech trail to the end user assembly site in Iran. Then there are options and possibilities to be considered? |

#12 Fungible commodities. Although it is surprising that US manufacturers can still produce such useful commodities. Are we entirely certain they weren't Made in China? |

#11 They're source by 'American' companies from others that are sanctioned for selling to Iran. Valerie wants to know who is holding out on the 18%. |

#10 Is it because those components are commercial, off-the-shelf parts made by American companies and available around the world in industrial quantities? |

#9 Also, if the iranian stuff is using American sourced components, we should be in a position to neutralize that tech too. |

#8 On the positive side, the US still manufactures stuff, so there's that... |

#7 There is nothing to stop companies that seem ok buy this and then sell it to Iran for a decent mark-up. |

#5 I crack on the Chermans a lot about "dual use," but I will admit, our greedy businessmen here take a back seat to no one in selling the ropes we will be hanged with. |
