Breitbart adds:
The Bild later updated its article to specify it understands the suspect is a Syrian named Abdalrahman A. who last lived in Passau, a German city on the Austrian border. He allegedly came to Germany in 2014 and had been granted refugee status.

One woman told the German newspaper Bild she was standing in the aisle when she heard other passengers screaming: "There's a knife! Everyone get to the rear!"

According to German media reports, the arrested man had been granted refugee status after entering Germany in 2014 and was suffering from "psychological problems".

#1  Bild, the German mass daily newspaper, said the knife attacker was a 27-year-old Syrian. He is said to have had psychological problems and reportedly also called for help on the train.

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said the background behind the 'terrible' attack was 'still unclear' and is 'now being clarified.' He said people in Seubersdorf faced no 'acute danger.'
