#4 Reports have shown that its sensors are disproportionately placed in minority communities If you load the city of Chicago into your Geographic Information System (GIS) and draw polygons around the minority neighborhoods, you would find most of the Shot Spotter sites within those polygons. So yeah, it's totally racist. If you load the city of Chicago into your GIS and drew polygons around neighborhoods with an above-average number of shootings, you would find most of the Shot Spotter sites within those polygons. That's just practical. No need for a Shot Spotter if there are no shots, right? Is there a German word that means "laughs hysterically upon seeing the word 'disproportional'"? |
