| #4 Al-Qa’im is heavily Sunni. Bet they love the Shiite folks being around. As far as this series of airstrikes, could have been the Turks. Shiites are probably Gulenists, you know. |

| #2 October 2019: Satellite images showed a convoy of trucks passing through the crossing from the Iraqi Al-Qa’im into Syria’s Al-Bukamal, the only crossing between the two countries controlled by government forces after Iraqi security forces retook the border post in late 2017. Situated between Iraq’s restive Anbar province and Syria’s Deir al-Zor Province, Al-Qa’im is an area which is under the control of pro-Iranian Shi’ite militias handled by Iran’s Quds Force. ISI first released images on the new border crossing in May, with a site likely to be used as a storage compound for vehicles, equipment and possibly weapons. A neighboring structure was built at the end of 2018. In September, Fox News reported Iran was building a military base near Al-Bukamal, less than 200 miles from an American position, with the intention of housing thousands of troops. |
