#24  Exceedingly bad move on the mad mullah's part.

#23  worth about $1.98

Whut? I'm hearing Ezra Klein bid $22. Wait til the Hollyweird crowd starts bidding...

#22  The carnelian ring was worth about $1.98. Fair exchange.

#21  Maybe we should charge them for the privilege?
Posted by: gorb   2020-01-05 20:58

#20  Gorb__ don't jack prices up. There are lots of people who would wax them for $1.98.

#18  I don't care whether the Iranians rise up against the mullahs or not. None of our bidness.

Just don't f--- with us or our allies, and we won't f---with you.

#16  This is no laughing mater - Iran, and the rest of the Vermin, should be taught a lesson about asymmetry.

I wasn't laughing.

#15  funneled through the energy company, Buris-mullah
Posted by: Lex   2020-01-05 18:07

#14  Maybe put a $80M bounty on their heads.
Posted by: gorb   2020-01-05 17:54

#13  Sounds to me like a DNC money laundering scheme to get foreign "donations".

First "American" that gets involved should get the Brave Heart treatment on the White House lawn or at Mar a Lago.

#12  If they can validate the bounty, then every Iranian Mullah becomes a target. Weapons free.

#11  some cyber hits against Iran's banks, C2 networks, a few special team hits blowing up things spectacularly and some head hunting teams that support internal dissident groups with the occasional cruise and air strike.

All that would be fucking
hysterical.

A scream!
or several thousand...

#10  #2 five spot from me to The Wagner Fund

Call it Operation Xerxes Meets Tannhauser
or, The [Wagnerian] Fat Lady Sings

#9  It's time for the Iranian population to choose if they want a functional country or a criminal mobocracy, and go for regime change while the iron is hot.

There are honest attempts being made to bring about a change of perspective against the theocratic regime among intellectuals and civil society. This thuggish tribalism actually strengthens the internal democratic revolution brewing in Iran. People do not identify with Ayatollahs and uniformed thugs anymore. I am told people had to be threatened to show up for the funerals.

#8  This is no laughing mater

I'm still laughing my ass off.

But some cyber hits against Iran's banks, C2 networks, a few special team hits blowing up things spectacularly and some head hunting teams that support internal dissident groups with the occasional cruise and air strike.
All that would be fucking hysterical.

#5  80 million is all they have left of the money Obama gave them.

Or:

80 million is 10 % of the money they made on oil since the killing.

#4  Killing an American president is a lot harder than killing a general, any general. But a serious attempt would do much to increase his landslide re-election.
Posted by: trailing wife   2020-01-05 13:37

#3  I got 5 on that
Posted by: Chris   2020-01-05 13:34

#2  Not so much an actual bounty but more like a GoFundMe page since it isn't the mullahs own money.

Hey, how much do you think Wagner Group would want to wax Tater? I'd throw in a fiver.

#1  "...on behalf of all of Iran’s people - 80 million Iranians - and each puts aside $1 US, it would equal $80 million. ...And we would give this $80 million, on our own behalf, as a gift"

How many Iranians even have $1 US they can spare now?
