| #3 I wonder what they mean by 'lower labor standards'? That the workmanship is lower for non-union (I didn't know unions guaranteed performance - someone call the school district!). I don't really see that between a non union NC build car and an Union built Detroit car (maybe even the reverse...). I think in a non-right-to-work-state, Especially in a you-must-join-the-union-to-work environment like Washington State Teachers, the union should be held financally and legally responsible for their members. If teacher John fondles little student Mary after school the Union should share some of the blame and financial cost in any lawsuits - and if they knew about John's tendancies - criminal charges as well. |

| #2 Apparently they don't understand how a republic works. The states choose whether or not to pass these laws, not the feds. Also the money quote, "Canada believes that lower labour standards in the United States and Mexico, including right to work, give those countries an unfair advantage in attracting jobs." Yeah, it is amazing how much money you can save and cut costs by not having a Union leach off ya. |
