ISIS beheads five Peshmerga elements in Mosul

The source said in an interview with IraqiNews.com, "Today, the ISIS organization beheaded five elements of the parliamentary Kurdish Peshmerga forces in Hamam al-Alil Camp south of Mosul," noting that, "The elements were kidnapped earlier during festivities with the terrorist group Lion of Islams."

On Friday, ISIS beheaded three elements of the Peshmerga forces in central Mosul on the back of bombing a number of the city's neighborhoods.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "Today, the ISIS group elements blew up the ancient lighthouse of Sinjar and a number of surrounding houses with improvised bombs."

The source, who requested anonymity, added, "The bombing led to the full destruction of the lighthouse."

It is noteworthy that the lighthouse is one of Sinjar and Nineveh's archaeological and religious landmarks; it was used by Yazidis to report religious matters.
