#5 Or you could view it as China exporting its unemployment to the US. We're in the sixth year of the Great Recession without the trade barriers of Smoot Hawley that got a lot of blame for the Depression. Maybe its time for a reexamination. |

#4 IMHO: Rent seeking via debt to fix incomes taxes and a more for-sale establishment. Jobs don't get shipped off shore they get priced off shore by rent-seeking raising costs. |

#2 No great mystery. Check out this German on-line advert from Hormbach, a Home Depot type store. Not all, but most of their products are German, Austrian, or Swiss made. We've been sold out to the Chinese. |

#1 This is what happens when all the manufacturing jobs are shipped out of country. Most that is left is hospitality, real estate and construction work. In long and hard downturns, those industries get hit the hardest. |
