Taliban kill three 'spies' in N Waziristan
2009-01-06
The Taliban in North Waziristan Agency on Monday killed two Afghans and a Pakistani national, on suspicion they were spying for the United States. Bodies of the two Afghans - Umar Siddiq and Qasim Khan - and Azizur Rehman, resident of Bannu, were found on the Bannu-Miranshah Road near Norak, around 20 kilometres east of Miranshah. The bodies of the Afghan citizens were found hanged upside down from a tree, while Aziz's body lay on the ground. A note left nearby by the Taliban said the bodies were "a gift from Mujahideen to the US secretary of state. Anyone who goes hunting for dollars would be treated the same way".
